Our Director and Lead teacher, Mrs Ellen!

This is Mrs Ellen's second year with Gateway Academy! Ellen was born and raised in North East, Texas, not to far from Canton! From an early age, her enthusiasm for education and children was ever present, which led her to pursue a Bachelor's of  Science in Interdisciplinary Studies - Elementary Education Early Childhood - 6th grade. Ellen served in public education for 10 years before transitioning to the private sector. In her down time Ellen is with her family. Drew, her husband, serves our community as a State Trooper. They have 2 children, Kynslee is 11 and Weston is 8 who attend Van ISD. Both children our active in many sports and active members of Stepz and Gravity!

Our teacher's assistant, Ms Shaylee!

Shaylee was born in Dallas and moved to Canton in 5th grade! She graduated from Canton Highschool in 2022! Shaylee has been with STEPZ All Star Gym for 3 years as a Summer Program and After-School program Coach! Shaylee plays an active role supporting our preschool classroom and Gateway as a whole! She is excited to meet our new students and hopes for an amazing year!

Our P.E. Coach, Coach Alicia!

Alicia was born and raised in Canton, Tx. She graduated from Canton High School in 2022! Alicia has been with STEPZ All Star Gym for 5 years as a Summer Program and After-School program Coach! Alicia will play an active role in Gateway Academy by being the PE Teacher. She is excited to teach gym class and have a fun year with the kids!
